Mikhail Nikitin

He has repeatedly criticised the authorities and participated in protests. In 2020, an administrative case was brought against Nikitin for insulting the authorities in a Facebook post, but the case was dismissed due to the statute of limitations. He also participated in actions against the construction of a temple on the embankment of the City Pond of Yekaterinburg and in the square near the Drama Theatre in 2017-2018. Journalists of media "66.ru" noticed Nikitin at the actions against the demolition of the TV tower in the winter of 2018. In November 2022, a case of committing a terrorist act was opened against the activist because of the attempted arson of the military recruitment office. On 5 December 2023, Nikitin was sentenced to six years in a strict regime colony.
