A retired colonel. No later than 2012, he began to publicly criticise the authorities. In 2020, a case of incitement to hatred against FSB officers was brought against Sendakov because of the video "Surkov promised war to Donbass". Shendakov was given a covenant not to leave the country. Later, a case of incitement to extremism was initiated because of the same video clip. On 19 October, Shendakov was taken into custody because he failed to attend two consecutive court hearings on the case. At the same time, he was under administrative detention. Lawyer Nikolai Kuryanovich, who defended Shendakov, was suspended from the trial and then stripped of his status. On 2 February 2021, Shendakov was sentenced to a two and a half year suspended sentence.
Later it became known that another case was brought against Shendakov - on incitement to hatred because of a video in which he told a joke about a Rosgvardiya officer and a surgeon. In November 2021, the colonel was sentenced to three years' suspended sentence.
On 1 February, 2023, the suspended sentence in the case of the video about Surkov was replaced by a real one, Shendakov was taken into custody. In March, it became known that a new case for incitement to extremism was initiated against him due to the video. An expert examination found that Colonel Shendakov had "persistent delusional ideas", and it was reported that he might be sent to compulsory treatment. On June 15, the court ordered compulsory treatment for this case.
On 22 March, 2024, according to Shendakov, he was released from the colony with the intention of going to a psychiatric hospital himself, but he did not do so. On 17 June, 2024, he was detained in the Moscow metro, after which he was apparently sent to a hospital.
