Nikolai Voishchev

A resident of Maikop. He was detained on 20 October 2022 following a search, the next day a court placed him in pre-trial detention as part of a case concerning the organisation of activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in a Jehovah's Witnesses community. Members of this religious community are prosecuted under extremism-related charges solely for engaging in religious activities such as meetings, collective worship, and recruiting new members.

On 14 September 2023, Voishchevi was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. On 29 April 2025, he was released.
