Oksana Ivanova

A resident of Moscow and the Moscow region. On 5 December 2024, her home was searched. She was subsequently detained and placed under house arrest within the framework of a criminal case on the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with her alleged involvement in a community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremism-related articles solely on account of their religious activities — holding meetings and services, and recruiting new adherents. As it emerged in court, the key witness in the case gave testimony during the investigation under a fictitious surname — using a passport issued to her by FSB officers so that she could participate in operational-search activities.
