Parvinakhan Abuzarova

Blogger, designer of Muslim clothing for women. On 14 February 2023, Abuzarova's flat was searched and she was threatened with jail time because of her support for Ukraine. On 31 March, she was detained on charges of calling for activities against the security of the Russian Federation. Telegram channel "Emergency Kazan" reported that she called on the military to defect and criticised the war in her personal blog, as well as failed to appear for questioning and was put on a wanted list. Abuzarova was placed under house arrest the same day. On 12 September 2023, she was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. She was released in February 2026.
