On 12 December, the court of appeal cancelled this decision. However, on 15 May 2023, the court ruled that Suleymanov should serve his sentence in an isolated section functioning as a correctional facility. On 1 August 2023, Suleymanov set off for his destination. He is expected to be released no later than the end of 2023.
