Along with nine others, he was accused of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. The case was singled out in a separate proceeding, as it took him a long time to familiarise himself with the materials. He pleaded guilty, the trial was held under a special procedure. On May 5, 2017, he was sentenced to a year and eight months in a general regime colony.
