A resident of Maikop, an activist of the "Mayak" movement. According to "Mayak" activists, on 7 March, when Taganov was returning home with his child, he was attacked by unknown people. Later it turned out that they were police officers. The next day Taganov was arrested for 10 days under the article on disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences), and was also fined 30 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the Russian military (part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of his Instagram post. On 17 March, the activist's personal data and information about the criminal case became publicly available. The same day Taganov was elected a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest. On 29 July he was sentenced to three years of suspended sentence. The court left Taganov under house arrest until the verdict came into force. On 3 October, the court, at the request of the Federal Penitentiary Service, sent Taganov into custody, considering that he violated the conditions of house arrest. The reason was a series of triggers of the tracking bracelet, which was put on Taganov. The report of the penal inspection says that in one case the bracelet was triggered as a result of a technical failure, and in another case the inspector called Taganov's home number to make sure that he was at home. Nevertheless, the FSIN provided a certificate that the activist visited the sports club during the hours when the equipment was activated. Taganov's wife claims that the certificate was falsified. On 6 October the verdict came into force, but Taganov remained in custody for a week after the verdict. On 13 October he was released. In November, the prosecutor's office considered Taganov's placement in custody to be unlawful. On 6 August 2023, Taganov was beaten up by an unknown person because of his online publications critical of Putin.
