In December 2018, it became known about the initiation of a case of organising the activities of an extremist organisation. Ledenev had signed a personal recognizance.
On 12 December 2019, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. But on 4 February 2020, the court of appeal reversed this decision and returned the case to the court of first instance. On 24 November, he was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence.
