Judging by the website of the Ramensky city court, several dozen of them were subsequently given fines. In the summer of 2022, law enforcers searched alleged members of the New Generation in at least six Russian cities as part of a criminal case under the article on carrying out activities of an "undesirable organisation". The believers were accused of communicating with Andrei Tishchenko, a New Generation pastor from Ukraine. In November Basmanny court arrested him in absentia. Then the REN TV channel published a video in which Yugov was led out of his flat in handcuffs. When asked if he had anything to do with the New Generation, Yugov replied, "Not at the moment." On 20 April 2023, Yugov was taken into custody in Moscow as accused of involvement in the activities of an "undesirable organisation". On 18 July Yugov was sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime colony.
