Taras Zvarychuk

Ukrainian serviceman. Taken prisoner of war no later than April 2022. A case has been opened against him and six other military officers for murder committed by a group of persons motivated by ideological hatred, attempted murder, cruel treatment of civilians and intentional damage to other people's property. According to the investigation, they shelled residential houses in the villages of Berdyanskoye and Volodarskoye (Donetsk region of Ukraine), resulting in the death of a woman. On 15 February 2024, Zvarychuk was sentenced to 25 years in a strict regime colony. A case was also opened against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist community due to his involvement in the activities of the Azov battalion. In October 2025, the case went to court.
