In November 2013, it became known that a case had been opened against people involved in the activities of the Novosibirsk cell of Tablighi Jamaat; on 5 November, Zhuraev and 15 other suspects were detained during a meeting in a flat; charged with participation in the activities of an extremist organisation; on 5 November 2015, the court dismissed the case due to the expiration of the statute of limitations
