In October 2025, it became known that he had been taken into custody on charges of calling for activities against the security of the Russian Federation: according to the investigation, he had been calling for joining "the armed forces and one of the paramilitary units of an unfriendly state."

On 19 February 2026, the court sentenced him to four years in a general regime colony. The court's press service specified that the defendant was against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, while he was accused of calling to join the AFU.
