Vadim Korovin is an activist of the Federation of Russian Automobile Owners (FAR) and the White Street protests. Korovin became a “media person” in the spring of 2012, when he tried to organize a “distribution of tents” near the Pushkinskaya metro station on the eve of the presidential elections. Vadim Korovin is an activist of the Federation of Russian Automobile Owners (FAR) and the White Street protests. Korovin became a “media person” in the spring of 2012, when he tried to organize a “distribution of tents” near the Pushkinskaya metro station on the eve of the presidential elections. He was detained that day, allegedly on suspicion of theft. On October 7, 2012, Korovin was detained together with other activists in front of the presidential administration building, where he had brought a prison robe "as a gift" on the occasion of Putin's 60th birthday. Korovin was also detained at other protest events.Korovin was involved in the Rosagit project, which produced various protest paraphernalia and agitprop products. He lost the election of the Coordinating Council of the Opposition, but gained 10,000 votes. In spring 2013, as an FAR activist, he took part in a high-profile action to dismantle a car park near the Prosecutor General's Office, which the Federation considered illegal.

The criminal case against Korovin appeared at the end of May 2013. On May 24, Korovin did not allow a car with a flashing light to pass on Rublevskoye Highway (according to one version, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Viktor Kiryanov was in it), and he had a conflict with a traffic police officer from the escort car.
