On July 31, 2024, bailiffs came to Patiuk's home to carry out the enforcement of the judgment regarding the debt under Zhdanov's lawsuit. The bailiffs forcibly dragged Patiuk outside without shoes, beat him, and broke his elbow joint; Patiuk claims he acted in self-defense in response. On August 7, Patiuk was fined one thousand rubles under the article on obstructing the activities of a bailiff (Article 17.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). In addition, a criminal case was initiated against Patiuk for use of violence in connection with the execution of justice.
The expert examination found no traces of injury on the bailiffs, while Patiuk — in addition to the broken elbow joint — was found to have bruises on his head, back, neck, arms, and legs. The Investigative Committee declined to initiate criminal proceedings against the bailiffs.
On February 3, 2025, Patiuk was sentenced to two years of community work.
In November 2025, Patiuk managed to contact OVD-Info and reported that his community work sentence had been replaced by a penal colony sentence (the reasons for this are unclear). According to him, on September 2, he was placed in custody at the courthouse, and after being transferred through several locations, he was reportedly coerced into signing up for military service. Patiuk wrote that he was awaiting transport to Ukraine.
