Accused of committing an offence under part 1 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code ("Organisation of the activities of a religious organisation, in respect of which a decision to liquidate it has been made in connection with carryiong out extremist activities"). Has been under house arrest since 17 September 2018. In January 2019, he was released on personal recognisance.
On 12 May 2021, sentenced to two and a half years' suspended sentence.
