A resident of the Moscow region. On November 13, 2024,he was remanded in custody on charges of spreading knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces in connection with posts on Odnoklassniki concerning the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, Russian army strikes on civilian objects in Ukraine and killing of children in Donbas.

Following his detention, Osipov was held in a temporary detention facility for more than 13 days. According to his daughter, on the day of his detention individuals rang the doorbell under the pretext of searching for Syrian refugees, then armed men broke down the door, beat her father with rifle butts, and jumped on him, after which they handcuffed him with two pairs of handcuffs so tightly that his hands immediately turned blue. The daughter claims that her father was covered in blood and could not see anything because it was running into his eyes.

On September 4, during a court hearing, the judge removed Osipov from the courtroom before the end of the proceedings because he was demanding an ambulance. On October 8, he was taken from court to a hospital by ambulance with hypertension, but later the same day escort officers forcibly returned him to the detention facility . On November 6, at the hearing Osipov again demanded an ambulance. The medical team that arrived did not perform an electrocardiogram, as the court staff prohibited taking him out of the courtroom. Osipov stated that he was not ready to deliver his final statement and asked for the hearing to be postponed, but the judge refused and deprived him of his final statement.

On 10 November, the court sentenced him to six and a half years in a general regime colony.

On March 18, 2026, the "Prison Lawyer" Telegram channel reported that Osipov had died in custody.
