Zarifa Sautieva

A resident of Ingushetia. Detained on July 12, 2019 and then taken into custody on the case of protests in the republic. Sautieva was later charged with organising the use of violence against representatives of the authorities. Sautieva has a second disability group, which she has not had time to renew.

In November, Sautieva was transferred to the Essentuki temporary detention centre. She complained about the difficult conditions and went on hunger strike. In December, she was transferred back to SIZO No. 1 (the pre-trial detention centre) in Kabardino-Balkaria.

At the end of December 2019, a case on participation in the activities of an extremist community was opened.

On March 10, 2021, she was transferred under house arrest, but already on March 16, she was returned to the pre-trial detention centre - the court granted the prosecutor's office's motion to cancel the decision to mitigate the measure of restraint.

On December 15, 2021, she was sentenced to seven and a half years in a general regime colony.
