In November 2017, he was detained and arrested in a case on the activities of an extremist organisation. On 13 July 2018, sentenced to two years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. On 17 May 2019, he was released. On the same day, he was detained on charges of violating migration laws, fined and ordered to be deported from the country.
