Russian foreign agents register: who is on the list
Since 2012, Russia’s Ministry of Justice has been designating as “foreign agents” those the authorities see as undesirable: NGOs, media outlets, journalists, activists. The decision is made without a court. The status means a stigmatising label on every publication, professional and financial bans, and fines or criminal prosecution for breaking the rules. More about the “foreign agent” status.
This page shows everyone who has ever been designated a “foreign agent” and how the register changes over time. If a person is in OVD-Info’s database of politically motivated criminal prosecutions, you can also see what is known about their case. The page is updated automatically every day.
