The leader of the nationalist "Black Bloc" Vladimir Ratnikov (Komarnitsky) was detained on 26 June 2018 after a search in his flat. The leader of the nationalist "Black Bloc" Vladimir Ratnikov (Komarnitsky) was detained on 26 June 2018 after a search in his flat. On 28 June, Basmanny District Court remanded him in custody for 2 months. Ratnikov is accused of creating an extremist community (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code), public calls for extremism on the Internet (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code), calls for mass riots (part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal Code), and is also twice accused of inciting hatred or enmity by an organised group (point "c" of part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code). The reasons for the cases were both the activist's statements on the Internet and slogans chanted during public events.

On 23 August Judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Yevgenia Nikolaeva extended the arrest of Vladimir Ratnikov for three months and three days. At the hearing it became known that Ratnikov was also suspected of public calls for terrorist activity (part 1 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and hooliganism committed by a group of persons (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code). Later it became known that the charges of hooliganism and incitement to hatred were dropped due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

On 3 June 2020 he was transferred to house arrest. On 15 February 2021 he disappeared on his way to court, on 1 March he was declared wanted and arrested in absentia.
