Aleksandr Vasilev

A resident of Kaluga. Former journalist of local television. According to the Voice of Change telegram channel, he has been engaged in public activities for many years, assisted in the headquarters of independent candidates and criticised local authorities. According to the project "Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial", he was detained on 11 September 2025 and taken into custody the next day on charges of public justification of terrorism because of an anti-war comment. During the search he was beaten.
