Biography
A resident of Ingushetia. On April 3rd 2019, detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack on police officers during a rally against the transfer of land to Chechnya on March 27th in Magas. On April 5th, he was sent to a pre-trial detention centre in Nalchik. At the end of December 2019, a case was opened on participation in the activities of an extremist community. In January 2020, the charge of using violence was reclassified to organising the use of violence.

On March 16th 2021, he went on hunger strike and refused to participate in the trial due to the return of Zarifa Sautieva from house arrest to the pre-trial detention centre. On March 23rd, he stopped the hunger strike after appeals from the public.
On December 15th 2021, he was sentenced to eight years in a general regime colony.
On February 4th 2025, Khautiev was released.
